the first day of classes

The semestral break is over. And too bad, I still wasnt able to learn how to play the violin. I wasnt even able to attend Teacher Danielle's classes because I went with my parents window shopping (hmm.. actually the stores didnt have windows, I can't think of a better phrase to describe what we did. hehe). Aarrgh! My dreams are over. Anyway, my parents were looking for pieces of furniture to put in our new (-ly renovated, ?) house, because we are moving in it in 3 days. (Ooh, I'm so excited to see my sister's and my room, ^_^).
Today's the first day of classes, and as I've been expecting, I wasnt able to attend my first class because I had to line up to get my LRA (Late Registration Application). I ended up enlisting for Socsci 2 and Table Tennis for my PE. I was also planning to take street dancing instead of table tennis, actually. (How I wish I's get the schedule and the classes I want!) Anyway, that first class I missed was Zoo 102, which was Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy. Too bad, I wasn't able to hear the professor's stories about how difficult this sem would be for us. But my classmates told me that it would be 10 times harder than my previous Zoology course! Scary. But no, I can do it! With God's help of course. :) I would be saying hello again to reading new zoology books and dissecting vertebrates.
My next class was Hum II. Our instructor's name was Bien, and she seemed quite friendly. Though I'm not really fond of art and classical music, I think I can do well in her class this sem. :) She called it a day early and my friends and I headed off to Robinson's Place Ermita to eat at Dimsum and Dumplings. I ate a plate full of calories. (*guilt*) Spicy Squid with Fried Rice and a Strawberry Chill Tea, which tasted sooo good. hehe After eating, Ryan and I went to FIX to have Ryan's hair cut short, which turned out to be cut too short. hehe (*Ryan, we love you!!*)
When our friends saw Ryan's new hair, they all laughed, because he had the same haircut when he was in our first year (which he obviously didnt like). I told Ryan that it was ok, but he insisted that I wasn't telling the truth. Girls have different opinions, dude! :)
I only had 3 classes on my schedule on Tuesdays. PI 100 (or Philippine Institutions 100) was my last class. It was the UP version of other school's Life and Works of Dr. Jose Rizal. Our professor was amazing, and I think he knows all about Philippine History. He told us so much of the Catholic Doctrine and the Spanish times and he even shared us some of his *ethnic* talents, such as kulintang playing and speaking in the Maranao dialect. He was like the Dr. Engle of the DSS! hehe He ended the class by an origami lesson. We made Christmas bells out of white paper, ehehe, and they were cute! He invited us to his voluntary work at the UP Pahinungod, where he teaches street kids origami. Those who would come were given an incentive: extra points! What else could I do? He caught my weakness. So he'll see me on Saturday morning, teaching street kids on how to do paper swans and the like. hehe
I stayed for more than an hour after my last class waiting for mom's text. She told me yesterday that she'd fetch me at school, and that we'd be going home together. They went to Divisoria today for business purposes. At 5:30 pm she told me that I'd better go ahead of them because they were still in Divisoria and they might be staying there for a longer time because they were looking for someone and blahblah.. In other words, I went home by the bus.
My class tomorrow morning starts at 7. That means I have to sleep early. :(
Bye for now!

my last Friday on break

Its been more than a week since I last posted here. Aww, my mom left me for the Bench & Jerry event in Makati. I did not have the book pass because I don’t have the money & I am not really a fan of Jerry Yan’s. haha
Remember my “pioneer entry”? I found out the reason for my super unexpected grade – I got a perfect score on the final exam! When my friend Belinda told me the news, I didn’t know how to react. Could it be true? I have thought of it as impossible because I actually didn’t have answers for about 2-3 questions. I just used my educated guessing capability (quoting, from Dr. Magboo, a Math professor) to answer those questions. Haha thanks Dr. Magboo! I couldn’t express my gratitude to God in just words. My heart is overflowing with joy. He has given me too much blessings – and not only did He bless me – He has given my family so much too. J
Last November 3, I went to our college to get enrolled. Too bad, I wasn’t able to get slots for the soc sci 2 and PE 2 classes I preenlisted in. That meant I would have to line up for late registration and miss some classes on the first week of the sem. L I hate cutting classes! (GC!)
I also received a copy of my final grades for last sem. I thank God because He made me a college scholar [CS] (GWA: 1.45+ to 1.75). I wasn’t also expecting much (though it would really be frustrating if I wouldn’t be a CS this sem), because I knew my performance this sem was so bad (I didn’t even get a 1.00 for this sem). I just feel like posting my grades here (This is not being too proud of my grades)

Zoology 10 - 1.75
Humanities I - 1.50
Communication III - 1.75
Chemistry 27 - 1.75
Chemistry 27.1 - 1.25
Physics 21 - 2.00
PE 2 Ten-Pin Bowling - 2.00

GWA: 1.713

*Aww.. Im not too good in bowling. :( *

!! The feeling was indescribable. hehe. Thank you God so much!!
hehe, I feel like I’ve posted too much. And I feel too GC. haha Bye!
Oohh, I almost forgot (Thanks ate Joyce, for texting me). I am going to have violin lessons tomorrow! Danielle, our PK (Pastor’s Kid) who’s so good in playing the violin, was willing to save the spirit of the frustrated violinist in me. Hehe Hmm. On the other hand, I feel to old for these lessons, I might not be able to catch the concepts and the ways well. Ooohh, too bad. Lord, give me confidence!
